Product Description

The CareFix Skin Tractor utilizes the ‌viscoelasticity‌ and ‌mechanical extensibility‌ of skin to generate "extra" tissue for wound closure, available in 4mm/6mm systems. Evolved from Radovanv's 1967 skin expansion concept, it enables ‌precise traction control‌ and ‌minimally invasive fixation‌ (direct adhesion or Φ2.0 K-wire mattress sutures) for complex defects like burns and traumatic skin loss.

Indications‌

Burns, traumatic skin defects
Scar contracture release, exposed bone/tendons
Flap donor sites, pressure ulcers, post-tumor resection defects

Contraindications‌

Infected, ischemic, or necrotic wounds
Severe coagulopathy
Insufficient peri-wound healthy skin
Non-compliant patients

Procedure Guidelines‌

Use Φ2.0 K-wire with insertion points 10mm from wound edges (10-20mm apex spacing)
Intradermal needle placement to avoid deep fascia penetration
Apply 2-3kg traction force with 4-6 daily adjustments
Postoperative monitoring of skin perfusion (color, temperature, swelling, capillary refill)
